Based in Miami (FL), Surface Ideas is a distribution company specialized in high-designed Brazilian rugs and furniture. Our products are available through resellers in the US and Caribbean,as well as online.
HANDMADE RUGS
Surface Ideas rugs are handmade by Brazilian artisans with three generations of experience in the craft. Our rugs all receive individual attention to detail that no machine can match. Every rug is unique and carries with it the love and personal devotion to excellency only our team can provide.
HIGH-TECH YARNS
Econyl®️ is the most technologically advanced synthetic yarn developed specifically for the production of rugs. Extremely durable yet completely washable, Econyl®️ is an ultra-smooth nylon fiber with a texture similar to that of natural fibers such as silk. It creates rugs don’t only look and feel good but which are also non-allergenic, anti-static, water resistant and fire retardant.
STATE OF THE ART DESIGNS
A globally recognised and awarded team of designers are responsible for creating more than 1,000 unique designs for Surface Ideas. Alfredo Barbosa de Oliveira, Antonio Ferreira Jr., Rodrigo Ohtake, Zanini de Zanine, LATTOG Studio, Giorgio Bonaguro and Alessandra Delgado who has joined the team more recently, have developed timeless and strikingly unique designs.

Every Surface Ideas rug can be customized. Not only the shape of the rug can be chosen by you, also the size, color, patterns and marking.
SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
Our rugs are all handmade with Econyl®️, a regenerated yarn made from reclaimed nylon such as discarded fishing nets, fabric scraps and carpets destined for landfill. Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled back into its original form as virgin nylon. While our unique product means we’re part of the global waste solution, we’re also doing plenty to help mitigate climate change.
